The Artist: Mickey Myers was born and raised in Hollywood, California, where she studied art with famed silkscreen artist, Corita Kent. Myers began her career as an artist in Boston in the mid-1960's. She managed an art gallery, ran a graphic design business, and then began creating limited edition silkscreen prints and posters which were exhibited nationally for two decades. Boston Magazine named her one of the city's most influential women. Mickey has been commissioned to create over 25 poster editions for various organizations including the Boston Film Festival and the Austin Fairchild Art Foundation. Mickey's work involving crayons are some of her most recognized. Still working, Mickey now uses pastels to create skies and landscapes.
The Story: Wall Fiction found this signed poster hanging in a small town store. This poster created for the Austin Fairchild Art Foundation in 1986 would be wonderful in a kid's room or modern living room. See our other Mickey Myers poster as well.
