The Artist: Bill Weedmark (Canadian)

Bill Weedmark specializes in Colour to Black & White conversion, with over 40 years of experience in the graphic arts industry running his businesses in Toronto, Kingston & Lunenburg. His photography has been published in Time Magazine, Today's Parent, Inside Track Magazine among others.  He has also exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Toronto and Kingston.

The Story:

In 2004, photographer Bill Weedmark toured the city of Toronto with a cool piece of kitsch - the plastic head of Elvis. The series, King Tours Toronto, immortalizes these iconic places, whether torn down or still standing in a city, that is always changing, drawing on themes of nostalgia, the cult of the celebrity and memory.
