The Artist: Richard Erdman (American,1952-)
American sculptor Richard Erdman is internationally celebrated for his technical skill in marble and bronze. The artist studied at the University of Vermont, just at the foothill of the oldest marble quarries in the U.S in Dorset, Vermont. He then moved to Carrara, Italy after graduating and began an apprenticeship with master stone carvers in the area.
