LET’S TALK ART | THE ART TORONTO 2026 FAIR MAY BE OVER. THE ART OF COLLECTING CONTINUES. November 02 2026

What an extraordinary few days celebrating art, artists, collectors and the vibrant Canadian Art community!

As Art Toronto 2026 comes to a close, we at Wall Fiction are reflecting on the creativity, conversations and discoveries that made this year's fair so memorable.

With 105 galleries and exhibitors from Canada and around the world, Art Toronto once again demonstrated the extraordinary depth of artistic talent and the importance of connecting great art with new audiences.

A few highlights that particularly resonated with us:

✨ Celebrating Canadian Women Artists

We were thrilled to see three exceptional Canadian artists, Marie Lannoo, Christi Belcourt, and Gathie Falk featured so prominently at the fair. Having recently highlighted these artists, it was especially meaningful to see their work receiving this attention.

We are honoured have in our Gallery five early works by Marie Lannoo, four prints by Christi Belcourt and one by Gathie Falk through private collection and estate consignments at Wall Fiction. This is especially meaningful to us to see their work receiving this attention.

✨ Making Art Collecting More Accessible

One of this year's most important conversations was about removing barriers to collecting art. We were especially proud that our Founder and CEO, Kelly Juhasz, participated as an art advisor at the new Ready to Collect Art Advisory Desk, helping visitors explore galleries, discover artists and approach collecting with greater confidence.

Kelly was honoured to be asked by Art Toronto to host a corporate tour around the fair, highlighting the importance of knowing the stories of the artist as well as where their art has been displayed. Kelly focused on the importance of Canadian Art and Artists going beyond our boarders and how considerable amounts of Canadian Art and Artists are known worldwide and collected by renown global institutions.

✨ The Power of Canadian Art

From Edward Burtynsky's remarkable photographic presentation of "The Vault Collection" within the Nicholas Metivier Gallery booth, to the extraordinary range of contemporary, Indigenous, established and new Canadian artists represented throughout the fair, we were reminded of the depth and diversity of Canada's artistic landscape.

✨ The Stories Behind the Art

Perhaps our greatest takeaway was the importance of what happens after an artwork leaves the gallery or fair.

At Wall Fiction, we believe collecting is about much more than acquiring an object. It's about discovering an artist, understanding a story, building a personal connection and preserving an important legacy.

Through our Gallery Collection and private consignments, we are privileged to connect collectors with works that deserve to be seen, appreciated and enjoyed for generations.

Art Toronto may have wrapped up, but the discoveries don't have to end there.

We invite you to explore the Wall Fiction Gallery Collection, including works by artists whose contributions to Canadian art continue to inspire us.

Don't just buy the art. Discover the story.
